  • I can't speak for all here but Bear Arthur and Henry Gibson were honored at the Grammys... think they were much more known in TV than movies... least that's the only place I really remember them.

  • @alexrogan1 Henry Gibson was actually in many classic films such as The Blues Brothers, Nashville, The Burbs, Magnolia, The Long Goodbye, and The Wedding Crashers just to name a few, he was even nominated for a Golden Globe for his performance in Nashville, Bea Arthur I would not Argue with you about, but Gibson made a strong contribution to film and should have been rememberd!

  • Brittany Murphy december-2009...

  • ok... ok... I meant Emmys... sorry... guess I should post when I'm more awake... hehe.

  • Hmm strange, I remember Joseph Wiseman being in one of the oscars in memoriams.

  • @TheSamuraiXX011 True, Arnold Stang was best known for his TV work. However, he was teriffic opposite Frank Sinatra in "The Man with the Golden Arm".

  • True, Arnaold Stang was best known for his TV appearances, but did a terrific job in "The Man with the Golden Arm" opposite Frank Sinatra.

  • oscars are so over rated now days, they seem to have lost all their glitter and charm, just like the nobel peace prize when it was awarded to someone for doing nothing

  • To be fair Arnold Stang is mostly known in television so maybe he was shown in another award's show? I love me some Top Cat

  • To not mention Bea Arthur, as well as theothers, does seem like those in charge of that segment are idiots.
