A corrupted HDD is a terrible thing to a gamer and once it goes wrong, you'll start to doubt your hardware's reliability which is why I replaced my PS3'ss old 80GB HDD with a 320GB. The procedure is fairly simple. A bit of logic and research will definitely help you. Google is your friend and so is the official Playstation forums.

The only casualty was my Killzone 2 gamesave which for some pointless reason is locked and cannot be copied.

  • Can you use 80gb now external hdd to restore game saves etc to new 320 or is this not compatible

  • @laksunner76 Yes but not all game saves can be transferred to the new hdd. Some of the game saves are locked. I had to play Killzone 2 from the very beginning for example.
