Shellee Robbins, PhD -- Director of Field Education: "In every program and particularly in the Organizational and Leadership Psychology Programs, we pay attention to the fact that a students' best learning is accomplished if they have both academic learning and experience in the field!"

Dr. Robbins supervises field education across the four departments at MSPP. She focuses on experiential education and offers support for entering and continuing graduate MSPP students as part of their professional development. New training site identification and stewardship are also key parts of her position. Dr. Robbins' clinical training and specializations are in Clinical Child Psychology and Health Psychology.

Prior to coming to MSPP in 2003, Dr Robbins held clinical/academic/ research and administrative positions at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI, University of Florida in Gainesville, FL, Cornell Medical School in New York City, Mass Mental Health Center/ Harvard Medical School Department of Child Psychiatry, and Boston University. She grew up in the New York metropolitan area, was educated in Rochester, New York and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

In the Fall of 2012, we are offering a PsyD Program in LEADERSHIP PSYCHOLOGY, one of the first institutions in the world to offer such a program. It has a unique curricular design that includes planned, mentored field experiences designed to prepare graduates to operate most effectively across a broad range of organizations and institutions: non-profit, for-profit, educational, philanthropic, NGOs, educational, and public administration; the program also includes a required individualized study of leadership in a particular organizational type.
