Toph Audition 1 - Earth Bending Demo

My daughter feels like she has what it takes to play Toph -- the Earthbending master who is a young, blind girl. (For those who possibly stumbled here unfamilar with it, this is from the animated mini-series "Avatar: The Last Airbender", season 2 of which is being adapted for the big screen by director M. Night Shyamalan on the heels of his adaptation of the first season that was in movie theaters this past summer.)

Watch out you other Toph-try'ers! My girl bends some powerful earth!
She's in martial arts classes
She's done a little acting/stage performance and has written several little playlettes over the last few years.
Her enthusiasm for doing this (and further) video auditions impressed me enough to take her seriously (ie, I'm not doing this *just* because I'm an encouraging daddy! Really! :-)

Well, I do know this, Toph is around my height,so, we actually CAN have me do it...and there's someone who is like, 5 feet tall!I know,it's way too tall to be Toph.

Well, actually, for the sake of argument, IF she actually got the part, filming wouldn't probably start until she's turned 8, heck, possibly even 9, and so it wouldn't any longer be such a stretch. :-) But mostly it's a fantastic exercise in simply getting into something that takes practice (acting, martial arts...) and focus.

Btw, who are the people who find it fulfilling to put "Dislikes" on essentially totally innocuous videos like this one? How does one say: get a life!

she's adorable , but way younger than toph... i mean toph is 12 in season 2 and turns 13 in season 3 ....anyways she still remains cute!...^_^...(your daughter that is)

she's cute, but too young. toph is around 10-12 years old.
