The Politics Behind Clinton's Armenian American Invite

ANCA Executive Director Aram Hamparian discusses Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's lopsided invitation to Armenian American groups for a February 9th discussion of the Turkey-Armenia Protocols and other issues of concern to the Armenian American Community. Hamparian told Horizon Armenian TV host Manoug Seraydarian that Armenian Americans should contact the State Department and the groups invited to the meeting to ensure a broader representation of community groups at the meeting.

ANCA Chairman Ken Hachikian sent a letter to Secretary Clinton on January 12th urging her to expand the invitation list to include a broader spectrum of the community groups. The Obama Admin has gone far to disc Armenia in order to win approval from turkey. The US-Armenian community strongly supported Obama in 2008, but now many feel let down. Aram speaks for the majority of us. While leaders of a few Armenian orgs will kowtow for a photo opt, the majority of US-Armenians strongly oppose these Protocols rammed down Armenias throat. While turkey was unable to defeat us in the early 20th C, I fear the US Govt will succeed through our own greed for acceptance.

No wonder they dont want to deal with Armenia.Unless there major geopolitical shift in the world and especial in America then probably good chance for Armenia.And its actually happening at some degree but its going take quite some time. Thats pretty much justifies the whole idea behind American government. Well silly dude didn't even realize that by saying that hes already admitted that Armenian genocide is a fact. America never going to do anything what is not in its interest as simple as that. Or any other country for that matter. Just one example, i remember about year or so senator ( dont remember his name i guess also posted by ANCA) saying that its not in American interest to recognize Armenian genocide. That we cant do that, Turkey is our allay and we have military bases out there and so on... .

@ArsacidDynasty : Clinton or whoever its i doubt that anything going to be in favor of Armenia. And there is no Armenia and America there wasnt any starting from 1915. Unless its calling business & profit . Read the book written by Christopher Jon Bjerknes well its only online nobody wants to publish it and you will understand why. You got to look at the core of problem. And it only on side of it.
