  • Ron Paul took 2nd in two states and Beck says he agrees with Paul on the economy but, still, these tools ignore him.

  • 1. Why not be an idealist? It always takes idealists to change the so called "real world", even if it takes some time. Reagan was considered unelectable by Gerald Ford as late as March 1980, because his views were "too extreme"!

    2. This exactly is my question: Since no candidate has become the favorite of the talkradio hosts, why do not at least some of them turn to Ron Paul, who is running on many traditional Republican ideas.

  • Chris Ruddy is a Fat-Zionist-New-World-Order-Nazi-Zionist-Pig!!!

    Zionism must be extinguished--NOW!!!

  • Sure glad to see Chris Ruddy resurface,

He was a first rate investigative reporter, he did a great job investigating Vince Fosters death (I read the full report) even if few took notice.

  • This is politics, not a philosophy class. You need to be able to sell a candidate and his/her platform to the general public and that can't be done with Ron Paul.

  • Take a look beyond the more superficial questions of person and (current) chance of ímplementation. They do matter in politics, but what should really matter are ideas. Paul's ideas are closest to the Taft-Goldwater-Reagan wing of the Republican party. Therefore I am surprised that he does not get more support from talkradio hosts.

  • I think that the reason why Ron Paul doesn't have the support is a combination of person and platform. He is an odd fellow who comes across as more of an unrealistic college professor than as a leader, with a platform that has no chance of being implemented. The question shouldn't be why he doesn't have more support, but how he can have any at all.

  • I wanted to point out that talk-radio hosts should not primarily think about the chances a candidate has but about the ideas he supports. Therefore I am surprised that they almost totally ignore Paul, when they have no other candidate they can support.

  • You are most certainly right that Paul neither has a chance to win the Republican nomination nor the general election to become president. And McCain or Romney (Giuliani and Huckabee will be out soon, I guess) will certainly be better presidents than Obama or Billary.

  • 1. Well, you keep supporting Ron Paul, but don't be surprised when you wake up with a Billary or Obama in the White House for (at least) the next four years.

    2. Because they see that Paul is a distraction without any possibility to win a general election.

    3. I agree that hardly any candidate is hopeless from the beginning, but Paul actually is. Even if he would somehow get to be the candidate of the GOP, he would be slaughtered in the general election.

  • 3. Hardly any candidate is hopeless from the beginning. The whole idea of primaries and caucuses is to let the people decide whom they want to run.
