But thanks for the in-depth comment though. Whether it's unconditional praise or total "This sucks!" comments, they're not very useful if they're brief and don't communicate anything about what was thought of as effective and not.

Myself, I like a variety, and I've catered to both ends of the spectrum in my collective work (I've made 35 music videos).

Well, for what it's worth, this was one of the only music videos I've made, where I didn't know what song I was going to use, as I shot the footage.
I don't necessarily think of it as a "proper" music video--just me using some footage that would have otherwise never would have been used for anything.
And as far as story goes, well, to each their own. Some people like music videos with a firm story and plenty of humans; some like ones that are pure visual experiences lacking in humans.

It wasn't bad, but nothing really happened in the vid. As a clip, it had no real story. Still the movie cuts being in time with the music were good, and the nighttime shots being so eratic towards the 3:30 mark worked really well.
Keep going with this

Well, for what it's worth, I think it's one of my weaker videos.
Glad I could help you out with getting the song (I guess--doesn't really help Deacon out much).

FFFFFFFFFUUUUCK YOU WMG

@katakotia Yeah, I keep forgetting that the audio got removed here. And it's hard to believe that someone as idiosyncratic in music as Deacon would wind up with WMG. I almost saw a Deacon show on Friday BTW.
Anyway, for the record, I'm keeping the video around to save all the comments and other data for posterity. I don't see the point in replacing the music, as the video (not particularly liked though it may be) was edited to this song.

i know it'd take months but i feel like a proper dan deacon video should have more cuts in 3 minutes than the entirety of requiem for a dream, you know what i mean? epileptics be damned!

@CallawayCinema Yeah, I couldn't agree more. That's one thing that always came to mind when considering making music videos for Dan Deacon songs.
They almost have to incomprehensible.
