Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine teaches a variety of riffs, including one he invented himself.

  • it's hilarious to watch the Kirk Hammet ''Teaching Riffs..." video and comparing how Dave plays such complex riffs so casually and relaxed, while Kirk makes a face like a duck doing a shit when playing Master of Puppets

  • @metalsquirrelgamer But the album is supposedly the best of Thrash Metal because of the riffs, created by Mustaine...

  • @asitinormaln But you gotta admit Mustaine has a far better technique, and their riffs are really complex compared to Metallica's riffs.

  • @ArseLoad0fMetal666 yeah right complex riffs. kirk makes faces cause he feels the music mustain is so calm cause it is the only way to produce that gay voice

  • @ChicoDelCereal another one of these guys. mustaine did not write all of the riffs. i dont know which album you are talking about but im assuming its kill em all and some of ride.

  • @ArseLoad0fMetal666 yes but is hard to play it right and so he shows duckfaces look at robert trujillo that is just awesome

  • @LMotmans with the master of puppets riff it is easier to down stroke it anyway because it comes natrually with the rythm

  • @ArseLoad0fMetal666 but on master of puppets kirk uses only downstrokes so shut up

  • @ColtyRamone thats not the way it is^^ thats YOUR opinion and i respect that as long as you respect ohter peoples opinion!

  • @zockerapfell mustaine is the best thrash guitarist, thats just the way it is

  • @MartyFriedmanRulez66 his expressions show that he enjoys what he does... its not a sign of extreme mental work in order to play the riffs. well anyway... kids will always bash all the good artists except their own favourite!

btw look at the liveversion from master of puppets. the album version is at an "moderate" speed for someone who is goot at riffing; the speed they use live can be described as fast though!

  • @zockerapfell I can play the riff just as well as kirk and I don't make stupid faces, and master of puppets isn't that fast it's all about stamina the down picking is a killer on the forearm
