52 people have died in Florida after being tased by police.

"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants. It is it's natural manure."

The Jews put their hands behind their backs and look what happened to them. "March into the furnace now boy!" You people that say just do as you are ordered or do what they command of you are a threat to freedom. Do not get in my way, I will not keep my hands behind my back or watch this happen if I am around. Men do not accept this kind of bullshit. I WOULD RATHER DIE STANDING THAN LIVE ON MY KNEES!

An illegal arrest is an assault & battery. The person so attempted to be restrained of his liberty has the same right to use force in defending himself as he would in repelling any other assault and battery State v Robinson 145 ME 77, 72 ATL 260

Citizens may resist unlawful arrest to the point of taking an arresting officers life if necessary." Plummer v State 136 Ind 306

Today, the Southern Christian Leadership Council rallied at the state capitol.

The group is calling on Governor Charlie Crist to ban tasers until they are proven safe.

SCLC general counsel Richard Wimbish says Florida is second only to California in taser deaths.

Richard Wimbish/SCLC, "We believe that these devices are dangerous. SCLC fully supports law enforcement. We believe that bans should be enacted until there is independent medical data that supports the fact these are indeed non lethal devices."

Last week, the Pensacola Police Department banned the use of tasers from moving vehicles.

The policy came after Officer Jerald Ard fired his taser while chasing 17 year old Victor Steen earlier this month.

Ard's car ended up hitting and killing the teen.

  • and keeping in mind my buddy victor steen was not harmed by a tazor. it remains that the officer who used the tazor was at fault here. he knowingly attempted to taze victor steen and either missed, or miss-used the tazor. resulting in disrupting victors propt exit of the premises of which the officer accuses victor of being in or near. remember guns dont kill its allways the user who breaks laws of weapon control. to all police depts everywhere....screen youre people!!!!!!!!

  • not so quick.....there are witnesses that do testify to the fact that Victor was tased

  • ok i may be out of line however ive only seen reports suggesting he had been shot at with the tazor . its much worse if he has been shot and tazed as this renders one paralized and you lose control ..hense the good job to all the people there to get the use of tazors banned completely as they have contributed to 52 deaths in florida state alone
