Hey YouTubers!! One of my most favorite country songs!! I couldn't believe I found this 78!!! What a treasure in my book! The recording is so much prettier than even the Camden vinyl copy I have. On the Camden you can hear tape hiss. This is a very clear recording. Luv it!! Enjoy!! Play a record today!

  • What a treat to stuble across your post. One of my favorite old country songs too. Only have it on an old vynle "Pick of the Country" album that my dad played over and over. Sometimes when the party gets a glow on my sister and I give it a go and stumble through the lyrics. Thank you from SSOverlander

  • @SSOverlander So glad U enjoyed!!! I really love having this on 78! I can't believe how many people have watched and enjoyed this! So Cool! Keeps this record alive.

  • Sometimes newer and slicker isn't necessarily better. Nothing like looking over my dad's shoulder in our '55 ford and seeing the green glow from that Philco AM radio and hearing the Grand Ol' Opry through one 6" speaker. You can't digitize that. Thanks for the song, clicks, pops and all!

  • @jimirsaysbuddy You are most Welcome my friend! So glad U enjoyed my vid and thank you for the VERY nice comment!

  • I like this early country, when did RCA stop making 78s? Do you know? That certainly looks like a late 1950s issue.

  • Hey Dillon...I'm told 78's stopped in 1958. They become harder to find from 56 on. Which is why I was so amazed to find this on 78. Cool!

  • @VinylLad They stopped in 1958--the last issue was Elwood Pretzel's One Night/I Got Stung 20-74??

  • That is not just good, that is fantastic, Gary

  • As well as the excellent harmony singing, I always liked the guitar solo. I heard Chet Atkins was the producer, and he came up with the solo, but it was actually Grady Martin who played it.

  • @kirtley2010 If it can be found Buckaroo records is a GOOD place to look,I found an original copy of Freddy Hart Drink up and go Home there

  • My favorite country song -- the video of Jim Ed and Maxine singing this comes and goes here on YT -- the next time I catch it on here, I'm definitely making a copy for myself before it's taken down -- lol!

  • Now that's what I call real country music, and that RCA is clear as a bell.
