Average american people just cares about the most obvious, obnoxious things in films. Open your mind. It could not be that bad. Boring-jugment conclusions lead to boring people, I guess their lives are way more boring than they think.

I have been a fan of Foreign & Independent film since the early 1980's (my late teens) and you learn to dodge hype when it comes to 'acclaimed' films. TINY FURNITURE is a prime example. It is a comedy that possess ZERO laughs. It is a showcase for this unexceptional filmmaker's obvious narcissism. I rented this as it was a Criterion release, and now I wonder why they/I bothered. The film and everyone in it, especially it's creator, Lena Dunham, are just boring. Who green-lighted this garbage??

it was a bad movie, an indie cliche at best. It confuses me why films like this get filmed. Why don't they make a film about being poor and depress instead of rich and depress? I hate these indie flicks having a hipster feel to them, I know thats where it began but it's too repetitive.

This looks terrible. Yet I feel compelled to rent it, why?

The only good thing about the existence of this film - a film I have no intention of watching - is that it was shot on a Canon 7D. When I found out it was shot on it, I rewatched the trailer just to pay closer attention. Great fucking camera dammit
