that is why they should ALWAYS be called paratroopers regardless of how they arrive into battle. It is also a good reason for their motto
utrinque paratus - Ready for anything. PARA = ready. The stormtrooper soldier role. Assault troops. Troops who must be at their most ready.

But you know the real meaning from the word 'paratrooper' is not just that they arrive by parachute.
No in latin PARA means ready or mobile. And so paratroopers really is all about a type of soldier. And that type of soldier is the nations shocktroopers or stormtroopers. The force that is the spearhead and ready to go and be put into the worst places at a moments notice.
That is what it really means to be called a PARAtrooper. contd.
