A WMMR radio promo, then, the open for "Eyewitness News" at 6 with Beverly Williams and Steve Bell....a quick sports mention with Lou Tilley...then weather with David Rogers. Then, Beverly Williams teazes a story of a plan by Disney to locate a Disney-type park at the PHL Navy Yard (which never happened of course)...we then fade into the debut that night for the 11 p.m. "The News Tonight" anchored by Jennifer Ward...sports with Ukee Washington and weather from David Rogers...

Jennifer Ward was always one of the prettiest women in news. Just saw her yesterday on CTV News Channel. I know she is battling breast cancer, but she had the WORST looking hair/wig job I have ever seen. She looked like a cross between Susan Powter and the Donald.

the first night of "The News Tonight". Oh I remember it soo well.

One week, it was just "EWN" @11 then that next week it came to this.

Their revamp made me a fan of 3 to this day.

Because half of the ABC affiliates used News Series 2000's music theme during the mid 80s.
