@blozier2006 Well, I have heard something that they conducted surveys over the phone, but I don't know for sure. Richard Dawson mentioned it in the original pilot.

@blozier2006 Good question. I know on the current run, they ask the surveys online, via their website, Facebook, etc.

I didn't see these old episodes during their original run -- I saw this video here and played the game soon after (around the time I posted my original comment)... but I do suppose you're right, using something from the show would be better than making up a bunch of random crap.

It's better then answers that were simply made up, which is what a lot of other Family Feud games seemed to do. Besides, what's the difference between using show answers and doing a new survey? Do you really remember answers from shows you watched... probably years ago?
