Homeschooling! The great mystery revealed! This ramble includes: use of the word "curriculum," a Medieval feast, and the absence of proms. Also, we did not go to class in our pajamas.

Special thanks to Michael Buckley for being so encouraging.

  • Your homeschool experience sounds so amazing! :)

i was wondering why did your parents decided to homeschool you all? :D I'm curious because i don't know anyone who's been homeschooled and in my country (Chile)is very rare to meet someone who has. :D

your mom must be a pretty wonderful and specially patient lady! :D

    bye!

  • I think Mom decided to homeschool us because she wanted to be there for us when we took our most important steps-- learning to read, learning math, learning the history of everything. She is, indeed, a very wonderful (and VERY patient) lady!

    Thanks for watching!

  • I totally wish I could do that! I've been homeschool for only this year & grade & I so miss public school. I remeber one year for one of the extra classes I took mideval history? And we had a party with food & we were dubbed it was fun

  • i loved watching this. you're very enthralling when you speak. i don't think i have ever seen you talk for nine minutes straight. :)

  • As a father of home-schoolers, I can say that the experience really lets you know more and more about your children and who they are, what their dreams are. My other observation is that "multi-generational learning" - the modern equivalent of the little red school house - really encourages children to interact beyond their own age/peer group and what is eliminated is not "socialization", but the clique mentality. -- I highly recommend it!

  • I think home schooling has been very good for you. You did not miss a thing from public school.
