About Alexander Khaskin: Alex Khaskin is a talented and accomplished Russian born composer. Classically
trained, he graduated from St Petersburg conservatory and has worked in St. Petersburg (Russia) as an
orchestra conductor, composer and arranger. He later moved to Toronto and is today a Canadian citizen,
working as a pianist and a composer-producer of music for TV and film. Some of his recent credits include
music for documentaries for Discovery Channel Canada, History Channel, National Geographic as well as
reality shows for Life Network and music for childrens animated series for Teletoon, and lots more. Alex
specializes in composing "transparent" music; a blend of minimal scoring with sound design, atmospheric pads
and with an organic sound. This makes his music highly useful for documentaries and film dramas that don't
require a "big score" but rather a more subtle approach. We think this is some of the reason why his music
goes down so well with people in the TV and film industry.
