The original "TRON" was a twist on the tale of Spartacus and was kind of fairytale-metaphysical cyber punk and 99,999 time more exciting and meaningful than this boring and unfunny panel. TRON introduced the concept of megalomanicial/authoritarian A.I. long before "Sky Net", showed what a "hacker" was, and was groundbreaking not just in using CG, it also combined metaphycial and spiritual elements (The Users seen as Gods from beyond) with early cyberpunk concepts over 18yrs before "The Matrix".
