A how-to video. Even after your ink cartridges are empty, they are still fully functional. That's right! They just need more ink! Go to WWW.ECO.INKZ.COM and save $$$
@Pokemon7294 Jet Tec recently reformulated their All Purpose inks. They are better than OEM HP ink now. You should try them again. We sell them at eco-inkz.com for half the price of Staples. We use them in our own 3 printers and get 15 to 25 refills before cartridge failure - saving $400 to $600 per year, each. Serious photographers may want to use the branded inks we sell, but frankly, most of our customers can't tell the difference. Our ink has greater fade-resistance than OEM, too!
@BriansVideoHobby Typically, if you allow the refilled cartridge to rest in the printer after running the self-clean procedure, they work perfectly. We refill all of our cartridges on the 1st of each month so they never run dry, and we usually get between 15 and 25 refills before the cartridge fails. With moderate use, this saves us $300 to $600 per year.
Refill kits are hit and miss. The problem is you aren't refilling under a vacuum so the foam inside doesn't properly absorb and suspend the ink. Also, if it's run empty it won't prime and won't work. I just buy remanufactured ink and toner at the refillmyink website because it's cheap and 100% guaranteed. Then I donate the empty to my kid's school. Schools and churches do fund raisers by collecting them.
Jet Tec universal inks are really crap. They can clog the nozzles of black cartdridge which uses pigmented ink (all new canon hp and lexmark used that). Also the ink is not really black - it is dark grey. Colours are dirty and not vivid especially yellow one. This is useless because it give bad colours making photo print impossible. Text is not good too and print head can stop working. For best results use dedicated inktec kits or high quality bulk ink such as OCP or lyson.
