Bryan Benz is trying out a new bat, the 2011 Easton Rival. Good pop, stiff flex handle design and easy to swing. Paint and grip are very nice as well. Only problem was the small particles inside the bat that cause the "rattle" sound that is very common with Easton bats. The replacement bats are the new Power Brigade series bats and are very good performing bats. Bryan has been training with Curtis Wilkerson and playing with the Dallas Dodgers.

  • I just bought a rival with the bpf rating 1.15 but i dont know what year it is..The model is BD10XL

  • @liljayswag1 That is a USSSA bat, -10 size, correct? Great bats... Keep me posted how it is working out for you.

  • What do you think of the Verdero 718 Max? I have the xl2 Power Brigade just don't like the feel of the bat off the baseball. Just wondering your thoughts of the Verdero

  • @TheRealMrBaseball I have not had the opportunity to try that bat out yet. New company and not a lot of history on the bat, the alloy or production and distribution available.

  • Have u guys looked at the rip it prototype?I was thinking about that or a power brigade.

  • @amyspt Our new Rip It bats are coming in soon. We will have them on video soon. Same with Power Brigade bats. So far, the Easton bats have been great.

  • Nice swing

  • @DrizzyDre4Eva They all 3 use the same alloy, the difference will be flex and design. The regular surge is stiff flex but has a small amount of "whip" action but the other 2 are very rigged. The best one is the Omen or the new S1 or XL1. They are full composites and are very easy to swing. If you are a power hitter, then you are on right track with either surge or rival.

  • Have u guys looked at the rip it prototype yet? What do u think about it?
