http://www.yonisha.com - http://www.dancingchefs.com - Brazilian Rhythms and Carnival Street Dance class party at the end of the 10 weeks of classes at the Parkinson and Recreation in Kelowna.

The porta-bandeira (flag bearer) and mestre-sala (ballroom master) are some of the most important components of a samba school. They carry the standard or flag of the school for all to see.

Here you see Cindy Lee and Yonisha (the instructor of the Brazilian dance class) as the "porta-bandeiras" and Robert Rohloff as the "mestre-sala" presenting the Canadian and the Brazilian flags to the party.

The evening was a lot of fun, and everybody had the chance to taste some of the typical Brazilian cuisine by Chef Rohloff from Dancing Chefs - Brazilian Black Beans and Rice, and other goodies.

Check the other videos for the students dances (samba, capoeira and maculele) and Doug's and Robert's beautiful drumming.
