@ricardosneaks. Could you be more explicit? I'm interested in what you are saying but your point seems quite vague. Are you saying that this kind of music is a reaction to our time or are you saying "this is what's wrong with the world"? What are these "stupid ideas on things" and why do you think this band (about whom i know very little)would not have stood a chance in the 90s?How have conditions changed to facilitate their success?This is not an attack on you, i think its a valid discussion.

Cool, ok this music is the sonic color of youth culture thats toting a lineage from the past which i believe is totally disengaged. I cant say "this is whats wrong with the world".Thats to bold. The"stupid ideas" are the byproduct ideas that occur when a band becomes"important".The metal and hardcore scene loomed much larger in the 90's.A performer had something to prove to the audience.Now kids just stand in the crowd blank with Pitchfork on there back. More to be said, I know.....

Thanks! I think i can see what you mean. The lyrics in this song DO seem to echo those of many before it, perhaps it's not bringing anything new to the genre or even flattening it to a cardboard cut out of what "punk" means (whatever it means) but I like the simplicity of the song and it's message.I dont think conditions for teenagers have varied wildly in the last 30 years so I can see how today's could reach the same apathetic conclusions as those before them.Or do you think its all an act?

If this was an act it would be far more compelling.

It is strange, the juxtaposition of, a singer lamenting how he's soooo bored, with a colorful show of people having fun. It is as if *nothing* could keep this guy from feeling boredom... as if his boredom was a chronic condition of his life, because of who he is.

I dunno but I like this type of music we all have our own opions about things but in the end all that matters is that it's what YOU like so if you dont like this music go find some other stuff to listen to! But leave us our wavves!
