I like to imagine that following this performance these soldiers were sent to the Eastern front where they experienced untold bloodshed and countless horrors - but each and every one died in the mud with a smile on his face, in memory of that last frolicking day of freedom with their comrades, that eternal DANCE OF THE SOLDIERS.
