@CookieMonster9877 Actually this song is an answer to the Beach Boys' "California Girls". They were rivals in the 1960s. It was popular for bands to do this kind of thing. In fact, the Turtles wrote "Eleanor" in response to "Eleanor Rigdby", another popular song by the Beatles

listen guys my family is from russia and we never went agianst america whatsoever besides the cold war and we were allies in ww2 the only thing we did was run our mouths and soviet russia is no more but we carry on the legacy of it and its in asia right above china
