Why the hell is Mean Joe Greene not on this list?
-
Mike Webster was my hero.
That said, who on earth plays football wearing GLASSES 1:30?
-
Face the facts hes on here because he is the one of the best centers of all time you all bitch about him and the steelers using roids well back then it was legal to use steroids unlike in today's game!!! What you watched back then was real football and not today's wussy sport thanks to goodell
Shut up all you steeler haters you team blows ass
The steelers own the modern era of football not the cowgirls or fudge packers or the cheatriots
-
Umm he did roids and thats a fact so how can he be on this list or even in the HOF? Im sorry one day he was good the next he was great. Come on its clear to me if guys like Warren Moon and Steve Largent cant get on this list but a roid head can, clearly shows how ridiculous the NFL is.

really? 68? buuuullllllshit

@DwightWhite78 Not only was it legal, everyone used steroids. People point the finger at the Steelers because they were the best team, but they weren't the only team doing it.
-
@MCOneMan: I also think about Mean Joe's comments about all that "contact" over such a long period of time and then think about Webster's later life troubles, his erratic behavior, his sad and bewildering Hall of Fame induction speech, his divorce from his devoted but exasperated wife, his troubles with the law...all pointing to advanced, cumulative brain damage. I hope it really was all worth it in some way.

Webster is highly overrated
"He's gotten a little stronger"---between Joe Greene's comments regarding newfound strength, hearing guys like Jim Haslett talk about the 70 steelers o line's use of steroids, looking at those arms and his early death by heart problems...all these signs point to him using steroids, but it's amazing to see how the culture of football treats it so much differently than baseball
