Of course it won't be.
1st, It's SE. "Useful" is not something they are concerned about in the slightest.
2nd, it's a pet job. SE's biggest fear is that pet jobs will be overpowered and must therefore be resigned to being mediocre-for-certain-stuff. Sekkanoki was a totally good move though.
3rd, Astral Burns.

@flipskaterdave maybe you have to defeat him in einherjar and then somewhere else again. like Diabolos. Alexander i assume you musst do another one too. they won't you hand over the new avatars just because you beat them once elsewhere. it's SE :(
