Along with the khayal Prabha has equally mastered thumri, dadra, gazal, light music, Natya sangeet, Bhajan and Bhaav sangeet. She is possibly the only artist in Indian Classical Music who has performed only her own compositions. She has been giving public concerts all over India and abroad since 1955. Her pleasant and dignified presence on stage, her chaste and creative approach, her imaginative play with subtleties of tones and dynamics, her effortless control over intricate yet appealing phrases in aalaap, taan and sargam, her precise articulation of words and stirring portrayal of the emotional themes all together raised her work to the level of superiority.

...brilliant creative thinker..absolutely! Swardeewana's intro' needs no addition. But she also sang the Gazal of Suresh Bhat in her programe "Naadaavalelee Akhsharen" in shivaji Mandir. She has authored a book named " Swarmayee" where one may revisit PrabhaTaee exactly the way uploader said here. The Annual saangitik Fest in Vile Parley is hers. May God give a long healthy and peaceful life to my revered singer Prabha Taee!!
