It's ironic that conservatives fight so hard for Social Darwinism when so many of them do not even believe in evolution. The greater irony is that evolution is not just about "survival of the fittest", but about cooperation and symbiosis as well.

So the poor are "stray animals"?! Until we focus on eliminating ALL poverty (like a civilized society should)in our country the USA does not deserve to be restored to former S. Power status.If we can spend Trillions of dollars dropping bombs on Iraq and Afghanistan we can afford to feed our own voters who need it. The poor didn't tank our economy and embarrass our nation, they simply do not have the access to resources to do that. It was the rich, politicians and big business. social Darwinism.

We don't hate the poor, we envy what they can become. Look at Jobs [R.I.P] the guy used to collect stray cans for cash, now his company is wealthier than our government. Then look at Gates, he began in his parents basement of all places and now has made it beyond anyone's wildest expectations. These job creators are better than any appointed job czar or act of Congress by any measure. Both the rich and the poor alike are embodiments of the American dream, we don't hate the poor, at least i dont.
