im confused with the first part, i already have a finger on the fourth string of the 5th fret and you want me to put my third finger on the fourth string of the 7th fret tooo? it doesnt come out right

Thanks for asking. Your first finger is pre-set up on the 5th fret of the fourth string because after the next chord you would need it to have been there anyway. This way it's already there. It's what we call economy of motion. Keep in mind that when you fret a string, you can have another finger on that same string behind the fretted note and it will have no effect on the already fretted note. Did that make sense I hope?:)
