The outdated, Paternalistic approach of the Howard Govt. Intervention was disrespectful to Aboriginal Communities such as this & defied requests for Self-determination & Sovereignty . The Rudd Govt. now has the opportunity to rectify this. How has Jenny Macklin responded to this request to visit this community & see & speak to the Elders herself?

Uhh, the last federal govt politician who went out there was Alexander Downer from B4 the Howard regime (early '90's). He got such a shock tat he jumped right back on his plane + never came back again. But, as the Liberal member for 'Mayo' (mayonnaise), wat else could U expect..... Sadly these troops like any others with a real love for alchol place thier love for piss in front of thier kids.
All sorts of racism claims and cry in stuff but at the end of the day its the kids who will suffer from the only real attempt by a government in Australias history to make a life for them and in particular thier kids but at the end of the day I suppose they will ultimately drink themselves into oblivion,
