I bought this about 9 months ago. I've been playing for about 20 years and have an extensive electronics background, so even for me it took some reading and fooling around with it before I really started figuring it out. This thing is amazing if you take the time to figure it out. I've managed to get some amazing tones out of it. No matter what settings you choose, you have to tweak it accordingly and ensure you have the correct OUTPUT selected or it will sound like crap!

The thing no one ever talks about is how you eq the tone settings on any multi effects pedal with that of the amp i.e. To balance it out should you have the tone controls on the amp right down, or all halfway on 5 etc...

Can you plug this straight into the front of your amp or do you have to have an effects loop in the back of the amp?

@coyotl18, I am not so sure if you are already have the users manual but you can find it online just google it as "boss gt 6 users or owners manual". Hope that will help you.
