We take the AR.Drone to a distance of about 50-60m away (about 150ft) and demonstrate that it can still be controlled by the iPad. So kewl.

    1. it creates its own wifi spot.

    2. if it looses connection it goes into panic mode and turns off and goes down (sometimes it just sits where its at and hovers)

    3. depending on you app for it you can see the hight and speed and configure the controls to better suit your needs, also you can have a wifi bar on the screen to tell you if you are loosing range.

    very easy to fly.

  • Hey, what would happen should the iOS device and drone loose connection in flight - you took controller further away whilst hovering for example. I know it has the ability to hover on its own with cameras if you take hands off controls but would it just hover with power by default if you lost connection? Or would it tell you where it is? Or even automatically prevent going out of range? And also, does it create it's own wifi network for your iPhone to connect to or do both devices need to be co

  • @RunnerLasting12 The recording app is available but it is still illegal to film other persons without permission. Know you're rights. I do.
