ATTRA agricultural specialists discuss considerations for successfully raising and selling meat goats in an interview with Max Armstrong, aired on This Week in AgriBusiness
I live in Alabama and have thousands of pine trees that would make good fence posts. How can I treat them so they wont rot? Any products to treat fence posts out there?
I was suprised, but this was a very informative, and reality based clip on raising meat goats. Anyone thinking about starting to raise meat goats would do well to pay attention to this video.
I've been raising meat goats since 1999. My entire business is "farmgate," meaning my customers come to my farm and butcher the goats here.
My only question is WHY were there so many clips of SHEEP in this video?!
Lots of nice information, however, much of the footage shows sheep, particularly barbado sheep.
And we wonder why goats aren't yet mainstream, an ag show doesn't even know the difference.

Great video. We've added it to our ranch YouTube channel for goat meat customers. Thank you!
