Confession is good for the soul. Unless, like this guy, you're so dumb you think you're giving the audience a peek into your hilarious life and oh-so-wacky antics.
The look in his eyes at the very end... he still can't understand why the audience is booing his story of an oh-so-wacky RAPE.

@CoolIncarnate
i'm starting to smell obvious troll around these parts.
i mean.. how many fans of comedy can actually not think this is funny?

wow, not only did he do this to her, but he felt so justified/proud that he stood up in an auditorium and bragged about it. And the audience laughed and applauded. What rape culture??

@Ididerus How the fuck is telling someone to leave not a "no"?
SimplexAnonymous 5 months ago 2
Actually no, the best-case interpretation sounds way too close to rape by coercion to be an objectively gray area.
I'm not saying Mr. Angell raped somebody, but the way he tellshis story makes him sound like he probably did. It's entirely possible he's just a bad storyteller. It's possible that it really was a wacky adventure wherein a horny older woman decided that sex with HIM was better than none at all.
But that the police are investigating this is also entirely understandable

Again, this is the teller's version of events. That it's so sleazy is very disturbing; it hints that the actual events may have actually been worse.
At best, this is a story of a man fixing his sights on a strange woman and, after ignoring her every demand that he should leave (that's not a no? really?) gets her to relent. Not quite rape, but not quite consent either.
At worst, this is out-and-out rape.
-- And it isn't a NO you should be looking for: it's a very clear, *enthusiastic* YES.

Try to see it from the woman's POV: Nothing this man has done gives her reason to believe he will turn out to be a gentleman. If she IS resisting, she doesn't know if continuing will provoke him. She's either still buzzed from her earlier drinking or hungover, not at 100%, so if she wants out, fighting her way out of this may not work so well. Letting him get off wouldn't provoke him further, &he's said he will leave afterward... if he uses a condom it wouldn't be the end of the world...
