I've heard most of Bill Bryson's books read by William Roberts, he articulates them brilliantly, you can immerse yourself to distraction in the audio experience. Listening to Bill's versions is also great experience, but for different reasons.

Captures the charm, if not the enthusiasm for the world's greatest game.

I'm pretty sure the version I have is unabridged and narrated by Bill. It's about 10 hours long, and I believe it even says "unabridged" somewhere on the cd case.

This is a fantastic and hilarious description of the most boring game in the world

Thank you for uploading this, I do not like cricket in the slightest but I find myself crying with laughter listening to this.

Thanks much for that Supernova. Best part of the book I think!
I've heard this audiobook narrated by Bill Bryson himself. So why is there this other guy. He's not even remotely as good as the author.

@baillou2 As a rule of thumb, Bill Bryson tends to only read the abridged version of his audiobooks. If you want the whole thing, you get William Roberts.
Obviously he isn't as good as Bill, but he is a very good reader.
