  • That is a most excellent build. Can I ask you, did you apply the resin direct to the wood or did you reinforce it with a layer of mat or something first?

  • Yes direct onto the ply wood a light sand and clean with prepsol or the like the surface must be clean and free off dirt, depending on the size and depth you will need to apply up to 10 layers of mat I used a medium grade! then 3 coats of neutral top coat in the colour you wish to finish in.

  • The fibre glass matt can be purchased from any good fibre glass supplier and is sold by weight and per meter, good luck with your build your ollady will love it

  • Thanks mate!!!! A lot of blood, sweat and tears I tell you...but now plenty of cold beer is put away watchin the footy....so the pay back is a bitch lol

    I have the solar heating operational now so the water temp is 34 degrees in winter

    Have a go at building your own just build within your limitations and budget...
