@wshgrove08 Yeah, I wanted to be in the Marine Corps, I can't as well. As for it not changing your life, it's affected mine big time because alot of things I do...I can't really do anymore. People are always questioning if I can this or that, and wont ley off my back. I've had type 1 diabetes for 5 years. Wish I could say proudly, but I don't want too. It's lame :S
Check out their web site and you will that their funding comes from Rx companies who do not want a cure. Meters are free but the test stripes are costly. Can you say conflict of interest?
Im 14 and got diabetes 4 months ago and it doesn't really change much for me, just got to give myself a shot before I eat. And I too want to be in military:army but cannot

I'm 13, Almost 14 living with type 1 diabetes, My goal in life is too be a marine! =D With a cure, It will help make that dream possible! =D
