GKYM 2011
Global Korean Young Adult Mission Festival
GKYM Fest is a world mission movement which challenges and calls young adults to commit themselves to world mission. This is a mission movement that works to finish the task of fulfilling the Great Commission of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18-20). It will challenge churches and especially the next generation to commit themselves as missionaries for world mission both locally and globally.
While the movement begins within the Korean Diaspora context, its ultimate goal is to challenge the next generation within every people group to commit as missionaries for world mission. In addition, while world mission includes both local and global mission, to prepare the second coming of Christ, the unreached, unengaged people groups of the world must be reached with the Gospel. Missions to the unreached is a key vision for GKYM Fest.
GKYM Fest is no ordinary conference. It's a movement. GKYM Fest does not only provide a chance for young adults to receive the grace of God, it provides a place in which they can commit themselves as missionaries. Participants will not only be provided information about world mission, but they will be presented mission fields which they can pray for and even go to as missionaries. Therefore, follow-up becomes a critical part of the movement. GKYM Fest will mentor, train, and guide those who have committed themselves as missionaries so that they can live our their calling and commitments. We need to establish a common missionary vision among networks of churches and mission organizations
This Christ-centered event was such a tremendous blessing.
Jesus Christ once again softened up my heart.
I couldn't feel the flame of Holy Spirit in my heart for quite some time.
I now feel rejuvenated.
I deeply appreciate everyone for making this possible.
