Russia Plans to Save Planet from Killer Asteroid???

this video was just to get ur opinions on the situation.

Russia's space agency chief said Wednesday a spacecraft may be dispatched to knock a large asteroid off course and reduce the chances of earth impact, even though U.S. scientists say such a scenario is unlikely.

to the guy saying shooting nukes into space having bad consequences for the earth :humans in general have bad consequences on the eartg. and i don't see why you would waste your time making a stupid joke video about this... if russia thinks we have a chance at diverting an asteroid impact and our only choices are waiting for it to hit while people ignore russia and try to think of a more complex way to stop it or just give them a shot then let them do it. when it comes to the end no idea is bad

@jan2692wal well it wasn't really a joke i just made it cause i saw the news article about it and thought thats stupid and cud actually cause an actual meteor to hit when it originally wasn't. cause sometimes when people think there doing something better for the world there really not like this video...and for others who asked um obviously the song was put cause of the movie Armageddon. but i mean yeah its stupid am stupid.

people forget how much force is behind a nuclear weapon, and also that the asteroid is weightless. we already have spotted all the asteroids that are going to possibly meet with earth. just one degree of change in direction could send it hundreds of kilometres away from earth, and seeing that nukes can be build with in a matter of days, i wouldn't worry about earth being swept by a nuke.
