Thug niggaz never die, don't ask why. Still to rise, in due time, if that is his decision.
Who lacks the faith? My niggaz still breating, don't you know. Can't you see,"life's so hard on a nigga when your livin' like a G" See, same man came to a world in flames, fame is but a name, breath is beyond silly games. All I say is keep your hands clean,"and your head up"
above the cream, the crime is cold, time is told, fine for flow, don't you know? 2012 and it's a go for the show, the shine.

alright, im a white kid in high school. i asked these two guys who are always talking about rap music who is better, drake or tupac. they both said drake. i think i died a little on the inside.
@lostchildoftimeMy friend only listens to new school shit. He says he hates tupac and generally old school music. i'm like bro the difference in todays hip hop and old school is todays is about beats and hook, and watered down lyrics, however there are many new good rappers out. old school was about heart, meaningful lyrics that heal the people and speak the truth. Im just sad at how this once beautiful music changed so much and not for the better..

@RunRun613 Capitalism changed the game. Back then, 2Pac was literally trying to own the rap game, and he had the power and influence to do it. Once he was killed, big companies took over rap and demanded that rappers stop talking about real stuff and just glorify money and sex. There's more ego than actual ability. Personally, it makes me feel like most rappers after Pac are just the new age slave. They may make a lot of cash, but they don't own shit and make more money for someone else.

If you tried to google these lyrics or rapgenius it, the chorus would be different.

@Mcfly1233 The lyrics on that site cover the other version of this song that was released after Tupac's death. It plays a bit slower with a female vocalist singing a new chorus, and has a different, more refined beat that gives off a different vibe (in turn, it tries harder to relay the message of the song so it feels sadder, whereas the one here is a Nas diss track.) The song I posted is the original, unreleased version. Personally, I like this one better.
