Devon & Lizzie - Come Some Rainy Dy

On April 25, 2010 Devon (5) and Lizzie (3) were in a car accident. Lizzie died the next morning from her injuries. Her big brother Devon suffered a severe traumatic brain injury and is not expected to walk or talk again.

This is a video of happier times. For Devon & Lizzie's parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and everyone that knew them, a light has gone out. To know these children was to know joy. They were full of love and laughter and hope.

Our lives will never be the same again, but from this profound loss we must find a new light. It will never shine as brightly for it is tinged with sorrow. Yet, we must carry a part of them in each of our hearts. We must find the courage to honor their memory by finding the lessons from their lives.

Every day is a gift and an opportunity. Do not waste a moment. Do not wait to tell someone you love them. Smile at everyone. Follow your heart. Do the things you want to do. Discover. Learn. Love. Live.
