Beautiful images of before and the horror after. Never forget. As time goes by and memories fade we will still be rebuilding our lives and communities. I hope you enjoy it.
5 YEARS ago to this day, the american government should still hang there heads in shame. Even watching the event unfold from Australia was just impossible to believe that the people of New Orleans were left to fend for themselves. It was disgusting what the american government didn't do.---> "HELP"<---
Stop all the bickering back and forth people. The hurricane hit 5 years ago and still New Orleans and the gulf coast needs all of our help. If you can go help clear debree, go help feed a family who still lives in government owned campers, organize workteams to go into the neighborhoods and clean up, but stop the blame game, it not going to help rebuild. Remember "Ask not what your country can do for you, but ask what can YOU do for your country" We are to help and love one another!!!
I lived in california when this hurrican hit, and i seen little parts of the news and didnt think it was that bad. i later then flew out to MS where my husband is stationed in the military to see him. he took me all over to see what the hurrican had done and all i could do was look out the window and cry. i couldnt even think of what those people went through. god bless you guys and trust me if i had any take in helping the people out there money wise, all would have been takencare of from day 1
This hurts. I left a few months before this happened but I had lots of family who lived in New Orleans and lost everything. They relocated to Atlanta but they loved New Orleans way too much and wanted to go back. Eventually, they did. I can't believe over 50 countries including the poor ones offered to do what the government should have done. HELP US. FUCK YOU BUSH! FUCK YOU AMERICAN GOVERNMENT!
People. People. PEOPLE! Shhh. Calm down. Levee failure. That is what killed New Orleans. Not liberals. Not a Cateory 3 hurricane. It was the failure of levees built by the federal government of the United States of America. Levees that the Federal government of the US - greatest government in the world; exporter of truth, democracy and the American way; paragon of virtue - said would easily withstand a hurricane of Katrina's magnitude. Seems that was a misstatement.
if you have "no idea !!!!!!!!!!!!!" what any of us has gone through, it is only evil speaking who can bash someone who is already down, then blame the victim. there's much more i would like to say, but good can only do so much to change the hearts of hate, pride, elitism, selfishness, greed, not knowing life is bigger than you (evil)
