@TheAntinet Ya, its left over from the grunge dark ages when the entire town decided over night that voice lessons and practicing musicianship wasn't cool anymore. I think the bulk of that is behind us now, but your perspectives on the engineers is very interesting. I can TOTALLY see that being prevalent in Seattle. I do most of my public recognition comes from Europe and other cities ... as for Seattle, lets face it, its a little town that pretends to be big. These are provintial attitudes.

@roblunte Hey Rob, I've got too many profiles/emails to keep up. This drummer is a great guy, and a truly great drummer, including song support. He's not in one of the big bands but def a pro on the periphery. I have my own opinions, so it doesnt influence me. Seattle's a city of engineers who think all talent is god-given and none is earned. Its actually a very common attitude. I am in Seattle and I'll be in touch even though I'm finally making progress. Thanks for choosing to teach.
