@Kane16802 It depends entirely on how you use your strike based on your technique. Glen Levy uses a Hammer punch and he uses a technique that instead of power, he uses velocity which is a combination of speed, power and travel. The speed generates the power, the power makes contact and the travel pushes that power through.
The faster an object travels, the more mass it creates and therefore, power, and based on the shape and strength of the striking tool, the effects will vary.
-
@hazza3 gotcha. but if you combine speed and power with technique then it is more potent.

@Kane16802 The Maori weapons were slim, not big. Maori people are quite big, but even with weapons as slim as theirs it would be physically impossible to strike over 140n no matter how big they are.
Its not impossible for Glen to do it. You should look at his momentum vs Impact video which explains why his punch is so powerful. Its not about the power of the punch but the technique, its always technique that wins, not speed or power.
-
@hazza3 well the maori were big strong people that had weapons, and with strength you can swing a weapon hard, i'm sorry but i refuse to believe that he can do that, especially with as small as he is.
-
Better yet, ask him to make a video of him performing the actual strike.

@Kane16802 Concrete isn't exactly that hard to begin with.A punch that produces that much force would be equal to a car crashing at the speed of 140mph which is 88 Newtons. 88 Newtons is enough to leave a hole in a Marble Wall. Its not impossible for people to reach this much force. Maori Warriors using their own weapons were able to create 140 NEwtons per strike.
I know it sounds absurd but apparantly its true. Like I said, ask him yourself or the people who tested i t on show.
-
@hazza3 i want to see him do it, not hear it, i mean that's enough force to shatter concrete, hell a person that can hit that hard could rip into your stomach, until i see it, i won't believe it. keep in mind, people lie about EVERYTHING.
-
@hazza3 do you believe me that i can lift 15 tons?
-
if glen levy can hit with 12,898 psi then i can lift 15 tons
im goin to try this on my step dad

@Kane16802 Nope. But I can believe that Glen Levy's strike can do serious damage. Keep in mind, its Sports Science that says his punch is that powerful, and Levy is only quoting what they told him.
If you have people who have seen you lift 15 tons and they recorded it, then I'll believe it. But a strike over 12,000 is more believable. You should talk to him sometime, he's on Youtube.
