Kid Leo introduces Jeff and Flash, Dia, Matt the Cat and Denny Sanders in this 1980s ad for WMMS.Courtesy of John Gorman, author of "The Buzzard: Inside the Glory Days of WMMS and Cleveland Rock Radio—A Memoir"
I lived in Cleveland during the late 70's and early 80's, what a great radio station WMMS was back then, it could easily beat anything that the UK had to offer (my previous home) including the world famous BBC. ............ A re-take of a famous Agora/Kid Leo introduction? Ounce for Ounce, Pound for Pound the then Finest Radio Station Around. Kid Leo and WMMS, the home of the Buzzard! Give him some lights!
Not a whole lot to listen to anymore in Cleveland.....MMS in it's hey day was without a doubt the best there was.....Now we get stuck with some smart ass old drunk on wmji by the name of Lanigan.
Denny never completed that 40 song music marathon. He got as far as 38. It haunts him to this very day.

Back then, WMMS was ranked the best station in Rolling Stone Magazine for 7 years in a row, until they found out they were rigging the ballot box.
Anyway, it was a good station. The present station pales in comparison.

Saw Dia at Len Goldberg's memorial service.
I wonder how the rest of us aged and she still looks the same.
Shocking.........
