I hope they remove the tedium of the X games. You should be able to do a fun mission in 5minutes. In Terran conflict sometimes it would take you 10minutes just to get to an objective, then you fail it because you didn't get there in time, or didn't have the right equip, or aren't strong enough etc. It was a slow painful experience. Occasionally I complain about games being dumbed down for a console audience, but I think it is needed for Space RPG's. Skyrim has benefited from this approach.

@szajbuspl i think it sucks to fly a capship. but i think it sucks too when you dont have the possebility to fly capships yourself. i agree with you

@szajbuspl well, noone knows as to what way you can upgrade the ship, the Corvette you start in is a very old ship, an they said it gets upgraded throughout the course of the game, but how far an waht way can the ship be upgraded?, does it get a Hull extention? does it gradually get bigger to fit bigger guns on it an a larger hanger bay for drones etc? it could be anything. i dont see how it even cuts out any content, have you even looked up to the Details there putting in the game? its crazy!!!

@Nick871203 That is the whole problem - corvette - too small for a real capital/command vessel.

And another thing - X-BTF is over 12 years old - from the new title I'd expect to see progress, not cuttin out ton of content for sake of, let's face it, gimmicks.

Someone compared this 'awesome' one ship with deck idea to Mass Effect and Normandy. Fine, but ME is pseudo RPG, not economy and fleet based game. If it was, I'd hate Normandy because I would not be able to pilot the REAL capitals.

@AcrobaticRex actually i read up you can Dock on Capital ships an walk about the Deck. but thats it. as you know you can walk around your own ship an meet the crew. i'd also assume you can walk onto stations too, perhapes your own quarters like from eve online or something.

@szajbuspl its not so bad. the ship you get is like a corvette size ship. an you can even get up from the cockpit walk around it an interact with the crew while stuff still goes on outside.

remember X-BTF you can only fly 1 ship an that was it. couldent even control others. thats how the X series started

on here you can still build stations and econemy an command vast fleets of Destroyers and carriers along with countless fighters and corvettes. so wahst the big problem here?

@szajbuspl Have you not seen the forum post by the developers about their decision to 'lock' you to one ship? You can still pilot drones of all shapes and sizes (hopefully giving an even greater variety of ships to fly) and you can still own and transfer to capital ships, they're just piloted by NPCs. You can still save up a mountain of money to pay for an M1, they've just taken the tedium of actually flying them away from you. I don't really see how much has chnged!
