By request, here is the full version of the 1997 Boston Macworld expo where we see Steve Jobs for the first time since returning to work for Apple after being gone since 1985. This was a very historic time for Apple because they were almost bankrupt at the time, so Steve announces a temporary partnership with Microsoft to a very hostile crowd. Bill Gates also makes an appearance.

Finding hostile people in Boston is about as surprising as finding penguins in Antartica

Why boo for Bill even though he helped the company financially?

Technically bill owes Apple that money since he basically stole Steve's os, put all the icons and folders on the screen, and called is Microshit.

But he understood the value of it and he successfully wrote original software using DOS as a platform. Steve Jobs was a brilliant man it isn't possible to give him too much credit, but the same can be said for Gates. They just happen to be two different sides of the same coin. Jobs is more geared to an individual experience while Gates always intended to mass market software that creates solutions for both home and business. One is Hip Hop and the other is Rock. Which is better is up to you.

Honestly, nobody does public speaking like Steve Jobs. What a legend.

Except that Bill did not invent DOS, his business partner Paul Allen purchased a license of Q-DOS(Quick and Dirty Operating System), which was an imitation of C/PM, from Seattle Computer Products and re-branded it to MS-DOS. Digital Research, which had bought the rights to C/PM, sued Microsoft because of the C/PM code in it. Which Microsoft lawyers diverted to Seattle Computer and essentially got away with it.

Microsoft Products for MACs have always been lousy with the possible exception of Mac Office.

Yeah, I know, Tim Paterson did. But if there was no Windows - probably, there would be no Apple.
