Not by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character! That's how Rev. Stephen Broden of Fairpark Bible Fellowship in Dallas is praying the candidates will be judged. This peaceful protest was outside Obama headquarters in Dallas 10/30/08

  • I love seeing whack jobs like you, because you are the crazies driving people out of the Republican party.

Keep it up. The GOP is fast becoming a party of fringe nuts from the old 20th century.

  • Is that how you justify fraud? Do you convince yourself that it's okay to register fraudulant voters to silence people who shouldn't have a voice anyway? And what makes him a whack job? The fact that you disagree with him, and you're ready for a change? So, sell me on Obama. How will he bring back morning in America?

  • Yes, I have a dream too. That single issue voters can make a rational decision based on who is the better candidate by actually considering all their viewpoints and how they would lead.

Note that these "Christian" values gave us GWB twice and continue to favor ignorance over true enlightenment. Here's to hoping this style of religion will self destruct before humanity does.

  • i would love to see these obama supporters now

  • If you really believe 95% of us will see tax relief under Obama, I've got a sub-prime mortgage I would love to sell you. The Bush tax cut expires in 2010. Do you think Obama will renew it? Spreading the wealth doesn't stop at the top 5%. In fact, in just the past 2 weeks the threshold has dropped from $250K to $200K, and most recently Biden said $150K. Do you think they have a plan to stop before they get to you - assuming you do pay at least some tax already?

  • So is it offensive for the government to try to intercede on her family's behalf, or is it only offensive if they had been in agreement with you. And these enlightened, God-like scientists who can tell us unequivocally that she was dead - when do they say life begins? And, one last question, do you think that allowing her to dehydrate and starve to death was a compassionate way to finish her off?

  • And this is where the conversation ends... baseless talking points. If you want to vote against your best interests and continue the tax cuts for the top 5% of the population (which will do quite fine without them) go ahead. But don't expect that to be the common consensus.

If you're so against abortions teach birth control methods at every opportunity. That would go a lot further than continuing the lie that sex is wrong because abortion won't go away no matter what party is in charge.

  • You can spin it as you like to justify your beliefs, but the simple fact is medical consensus and evidence oppose your claim of life. And your pro-life cause and the politicians manipulated by it had no right to intervene. It was a shameful display of arrogance & ignorance. As far as Bush goes, if you don't see anything wrong with what was done that fault goes to you. I do think it's perverse Clinton was impeached and Bush, the greater evil, was not. Rather telling of the problems we're facing.

  • Now, rationality and evidence based thought - where do these ideals factor into Obama's plan to increase abortion or spread the wealth. Where is the evidence that these are beneficial. Didn't they first promise with Roe v. Wade that there would be less divorce and less child abuse because there would be fewer unwanted pregnancies. I fail to see rationality or evidence based thought - in fact, history has shown just the opposite.

  • Read about Terri Schiavo again. Her husband who found her death convenient for his new found love was the only family member fighting for her death. Her blood relatives all were fighting for her life. Sorry if that's offensive. And maybe I'm just a partisan hack, but I really can't remember Bush being impeached for lying under oath.

  • also, redefining sexual conduct is a non-issue, or at best of very little importance. But if you're referring to Clinton over G.W.Bush it seems absurd to overlook GWB's lies which ushered in a new age of death, gross spending & civil liberty removal and allowing that to be overshadowed by sexual acts and (personal) question dodging from Clinton. Both lied under oath. Was one more important? Yes. And that's another example of the problems your line of thinking is causing in modern culture.

  • True enlightenment would be something along the lines of rationality and evidence based thought trumping baseless assertions and supernatural doctrine. The Terri Schiavo example is a strong one, because it showcases religious dogma trumping modern medicine and medical experts which declared her dead. Keeping her body alive only added to the despair of her husband and family. Understand how deeply offensive and arrogant that was to those who don't share your viewpoint.
