  • @jammatoonarmy maritime law

  • John Locke, a British philosopher in the Enlightenment, laid this all out. He came up with the idea that governments exist for the benefit of the governed. Man is born free but voluntarily gives up some of his freedom to establish government for the purpose of social order. Government derives its true powers from the consent of the governed. When a government no longer suits their needs, the people have both the right and the duty to make changes, or even to abolish a government altogether.

  • Now wait just a goddamn minute! Do we really want them to stay in their little cage, forever? Wouldn't it be a lot more fun to allow them the opportunity to regain their self-respect and come have fun and games with us? I mean, I don't know about you, but I don't want the liability of trying to keep ANYBODY in a cage, no matter what they did in the past. It don't matter! If you're ready to play nice, come on! Let's get nekkid, baby! "Any love is good love, so I took what I could get!"
