  • Love thathe track is not visible but covered by grass!

Why did you noturn the camerand follow the engines and showhere the train was heading?

Must all Aussie films be boring views of trains approaching and passing by out of frame? You ARE allowed to show where it is going and what is ahead.

You can still see two boring minutes of cars rolling by, justhathey are rolling away and we geto see more scenery.

  • @robertgift I went to your channel to have a look at your video's and see how I need to do it, but I can't seem to find ANY video's you've made yourself. Perhaps I prefer to just leave it running, rather than suddenly pan round at whiplash speed like a lot of people do, and then zoom in that fast I feel sick, and show an angle that has a 45 degree lean to it, all while the auto focus goes nuts trying to lock on. Besides, the video is only being done while I'm taking still photo's.

  • @emd645e3c Just pan around following the locomotives. That's all. No whiplash, zooming, etc.

    Manual focus, infinity.

It seems everyone must follow a rule thathe train travels out of the frame. I'd like to see where it is going - what's up ahead.

Here, I would have stood on the grass athedge of the street..

  • @robertgift The "just pan around" isn't that simple. It takes a lot of time to get the tripod head precisely level so that when you do pan, it stays level. And when I shot the video in the street, time was not something I had a lot of. I would prefer to just do what I do, and not stuff up a shot by kicking the tripod, or not having it set up level and ruin the shot. While I agree, it does look nice, I can't do still and video properly that way.
