  • To those below who choose to mar this great speech with comments about JFK's father: Any historian will tell you that there is no documented evidence that JFK's father ever bootlegged. Now that I have said that, I will say that he probably did bootleg. But to say that was how the family fortune was made is B.S. The family fortune was made through many avenues, including real estate and the film business. Prohibition was a fiasco. Most people violated the law during that time.

  • He did not even write the speech. I always admired this fellow until I found out he made a 19 year old his mistress on the 4th day of her employment, and all of the other women he played his perverted games with. A pompous jerk running our country while he plays games with a 19 year old in the basement, and women all over the place? A 19 year old? He is a horrible human being who rivals his counter parts in Hollywood who marry divorce and rant that can not control themselves.

  • When I watched; the last interview with the bush family; in the white house. Two statements were said my Laura Bush. (I am par averse from mylimted understanding/memory) the questioner " what are some bill's that your husband has pass that you are proud of?" I remember her laughing and saying "i don't know of any bills...But I do; know ones that helped me.. etc.." I Also; want to point out; her and thehusband change the eagle from fasting the olive branch to the arrows.(what a sad philosophy)

  • 13:56-14:03 best part of the speech :D

  • Gilligan would have never been shipwrecked if he'd lived.

  • John F. Kennedy looks like Calvin Coolidge compared to Nixon, Carter, Bush and Obama. Wish we had him today.

  • 50 years later, we've done none of this. 50 years later, there hasn't been one president who has as fully protected the constitution. 50 years later, we are worse off than we were 50 years ago.

  • At least the U.S.A. knew greatness and perfection for a while. He would've certainly gotten elected again, and for a third time if possible. The world would be very different if he wouldn't have been assassinated, but at least he left us all with very good words and phrases of wisdom; "And so, My fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country."

  • who dis likes this

  • This guy might have been a shameless chippi-chaser, but he was inpsiring in those days to getting WLB's off their pansy-asses and doing something For the country's betterment. If you listen to his speech, it's simple and to the point. You can't listen to a presidential speech with that grace and courage. They all sound like fluff. This is the voice of a man who really had what it took. God Love ya, Jack! I agree with OngallaWolf, if only we could have you back.
